Muyambe Foundation began in 2019, in Nakulabye a neighbourhood and one of the largest city slum centres in Uganda’s capital and largest city Kampala.
Since 2019 we have grown from a small soccer team into what is now an organisation with several programs that include, sports development programs, child sponsorship, empowerment programs, women’s ministry, counselling and career guidance as well as, emergency support services. We work alongside children and their families from this community and our heart and passion is to see them grow into outstanding citizens with purpose, hope, and passion. Our heart is to see future leaders rise who despite their economic status become successful, leading their families and community into a new future and opportunities.
Our key principles are community empowerment and resilience. Our goal is to be a focal point for all ages of the community. To promote cohesion- social relationships and support. We hope to empower members of the community to build a safe place and create an inclusive community. Our organisation is free to vulnerable people within the community as our heart is to create an easily accessible pathway to opportunities, to develop their skills. We believe the community deserves a chance and has a right to develop its skills and talents.
