Our team are the heart of the work that we do. They are all locals and have a heart and passion to empower their community. We believe that by hiring locals, people born and raised within or close to Nakulabye we are supporting the over-arching community.
Our staff can relate to the children and their families in a broader capacity, bringing even more passion and knowledge to our team. They have a lived experience of what it means to grow up in poverty and can therefore better empower and counsel our children. Not only this, but some of our staff still live in Nakulabye and are neighbours to our children, meaning that they can check in and be a trustworthy mentor and support outside of office hours.
Our staff is made up of an array of inspiring people including; super league players, husbands and parents, a teacher (who we met teaching at a local school), and even a goalkeeper with an extensive career playing for the Uganda Cranes. Muyambe, is highly respected by many community leaders and politicians many of whose children attend our programs.
Muyambe Foundation is a community… and our staff are leaders within this community.
